Salida is located in central Colorado's Arkansas Valley, accessible via US Highway 50 from the east (Pueblo/Kansas City) or west (Gunnison), and US-285 from the north (Denver/South Park).

Weekend Adventure (2 days)

  • Day 1: Arrive, check in, dinner at Soulcraft Brewing or Amicas Pizza. Evening stroll through Creative District.
  • Day 2: Morning rafting trip on Brown's Canyon (half day). Afternoon soak at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Dinner at Shavano or Boathouse Cantina.

Ski & Soak (2 days, Winter)

  • Day 1: Morning powder at Monarch Mountain. Afternoon soak at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Dinner in Salida.
  • Day 2: Second ski day or snowshoe at Monarch. Explore downtown galleries before heading home.

14er Basecamp (3 days)

  • Day 1: Arrive and acclimatize. Light hike on S Mountain. Dinner downtown.
  • Day 2: Summit Mt. Shavano or Mt. Princeton (early start). Rest and recover at hot springs.
  • Day 3: Recovery day — art walk, farmers market, afternoon rafting float.
