A Living Arts Community

Salida's Creative District is Colorado's largest state-certified arts district, recognized for its dense concentration of working artists, galleries, and cultural venues. Downtown Salida's compact historic core makes it easy to spend a day visiting studios and galleries on foot.

F Street is the heart of the arts district, lined with galleries showcasing everything from fine art and sculpture to jewelry, ceramics, and photography. Many galleries feature the work of resident Salida artists who live and create in the community.

The SteamPlant Event Center — a beautifully restored 1887 steam power plant — serves as the cultural hub of Salida, hosting concerts, theater, community events, and the iconic FIBArk festival each June.
